ABSTRACT: The documents in this collection relate to the formation and early history of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. The majority of the records are incoming and outgoing correspondence and memoranda regarding staff and board appointments, organization of member banks, and other preparations for the opening of the Bank. Dallas was selected in 1914 as the headquarters of the Eleventh District, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas was officially opened on November 16, 1914.
