Workshop on Central Bank Business Surveys
In addition to traditional metrics like unemployment rates and GDP, many central banks gather economic intelligence through business surveys. The Central Bank Business Survey and Liaison Program Group (CBBS), formed in 2010, provides a forum for experts to share survey methodologies and discuss findings. The CBBS group gathers each year for a conference. In addition to several panel discussions, the two-day event features presentations on survey design and methods, data collection, and regional analysis.
