Mobile payments have been slower to gain traction than many analysts projected. According to consumer and financial institution research, the safety and security of mobile payments is among the most frequently mentioned concerns and barriers to its usage. Is this perception based on fact? If it is not, what can mobile payments stakeholders do to change it? The Atlanta Fed's Retail Payments Risk Forum conducted a webinar on October 5, 2017, to address these questions.
