“ AN

HONEST

P R O D U C T”

E take pleasure in offering to you this, the Eighty-fourth Edition o f 'Uhe ‘RandM cN a lly flankers* Directory, w ith the assurance th at nothing has been left undone
b y us in our effort to give you a D irectory as nearly perfect as experience, continued
vigilance, tim e and m oney will m ake it.
A t a considerable cost, w e are now giving you a t im portant points in the
U nited States and C anada, a lawyer, bonded b y the Am erican Surety C om p an y o f
N ew Y o rk . T h is is further evidence o f our policy of giving the best service th at
m oney can b u y .
I
If errors are found, as of course some will be in any book of this nature, they are
not the result of any lack of painstaking effort on our part.
W e make an honest revision
every six months, soliciting direct every hank in America fo r its report, and cbntinuing such
solicitation until we get a report from them or of them from some other source.
If we

W

m ade only one such solicitation, we could save thousands of dollars in postage and
m anufacturing cost, could issue our D irectory at least a m onth earlier, but would give
you a dishonest product, less than fifty per cent revised.
W e m ake at least three and in m a n y cases four and five endeavors to obtain
inform ation, even using the telegraph and long distance phone, in order to give you
what you w ant and w hat you m ust h a v e— an accurate and reliable book o f reference.
W e do not solicit you r patronage b y using misleading and irrelevant arguments
for it. W e wish to impress our constantly increasing num ber of friends and patrons
that the claim s of T h e R a n d -M c N a lly B ankers’ D irectory for your patronage are:
1. It is honestly revised twice a year.
2.
It.is complete, up to date and is published nearer to the date of the inform ation
it contains than is any other similar publication.
3.
It is printed in tabulated form , all similar items being placed in the same
column, for the purpose of com parison— more expensive for us, m ore satisfactory for
your purpose.
4 . It is beautifully printed in clear, readable typ e.
5.
It gives to advertisers a country-wide circulation, covering a m ajority of the
best banks in Am erica and thousands of the large corporations and lawyers offices, a
circulation double th at of any other similar publication.

j

In Short, it is an H onest P rod u ct
W e hope that the results of our efforts m a y m eet w ith your continued approval
and we thank you for your patronage.

' IMPORTANT: This tabulation covers only institutions performing the functions of a bank. Some
publishers, for reasons of their own, include in their tabulation all those concerns whose names they pub
lish but whose business is confined to the selling of Investments. Such information is naturally mislead
ing. We carry the names of thousands of such institutions but they are not included in this tabulation.
