7/26/24, 1:36 PM FRB: Press Release -- Request for comment on consumer protection Regulation B and Regulation C -- March 13, 1998 Release Date: March 13, 1998 For immediate release The Federal Reserve Board today requested comment on a comprehensive review of two of its consumer protection regulations--Regulation B, Equal Credit Opportunity, and Regulation C, Home Mortgage Disclosure. Comment is requested by May 29. Under the Board's Regulatory Planning and Review Program, the review will seek to clarify, simplify, and update both regulations, as well as reduce burden.
