Why would a carpentry training program incorporate financial literacy into its offering? For one regional
council, it’s a safety issue.
In this video, learn how the St. Louis-Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council used materials from our
economic education offering to design a course to help its members better understand personal finance
issues such as budgeting, saving and buying a car. You’ll also find the reasoning behind incorporating
financial literacy into the training program and how carpenters are using what they’ve learned on and off
the worksite.
