READOUT: Financial Stability Oversight Council Meeting on
February 28, 2022
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen convened a meeting of
the Financial Stability Oversight Council (Council) in executive session by videoconference.
During the meeting, the Council received an update from member agency staff on international
market developments related to Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The Council noted
that the U.S. financial system continues to function in an orderly manner. The Council will
continue to monitor financial developments.
