Mnuchin today convened a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (Council) in executive session at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The Council discussed an application from a bank holding company or its successor under section 117 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Council also received an update regarding the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System’s recently announced results of the Dodd-Frank Act stress tests and the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review. The Council also discussed the ongoing reevaluation of its designation of a nonbank financial company. Finally, the Council voted to approve the minutes of its previous meeting on June 15.
