U.S. TREASURY DEPARTMENT OFFICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS Press Release: Contact: November 16, 2017 Public Affairs (202) 622-2960 Readout of Financial Stability Oversight Council Meeting WASHINGTON – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin today convened a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (Council) in executive and open sessions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. During the executive session, the Council discussed its 2017 annual report. In the open session, the Council received an update from the Federal Reserve on the work of the Alternative Reference Rates Committee. The Council also heard a presentation from the Office of Financial Research on efforts to collect data to support alternative reference rates. Additionally, during the open session, the Council voted to approve revisions to its regulation implementing the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in accordance with the FOIA Improvement Act of 2016. The Council also voted to approve the minutes of its previous meetings on September 22 and September 29. An archived webcast of the open session can be found here.
