Letter to Mr. Willis, Secretary, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, reading as follows: Thank you for your letter of September 8, 1954, advising that, at the request of the Foreign Operations Administration, Washington, D. C., Mr. Arthur I. Bloomfield, Senior Economist, has been granted a leave of absence without pay for a period of approximately two months beginning about September 24, 1954, to enable him, as a consultant to the Foreign Operations Administration's mission to Indochina, to assist the three associated states of Indochina in setting up independent currencies and central banking arrangements. It is noted from your letter that the Foreign Operations Administration will compensate Mr. Bloomfield for his services and pay his expenses in connection with this assignment. The Board of Governors interposes no objection to the arrangement with respect to Mr. Bloomfield as described in your letter. Approved unanimously. 1322 9/15/54 Letter to Mr. Denmark, Vice President, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, reading as follows: In accordance with the request contained in your letter of September 7, 1954, the Board approves the designation of W. J. Green as special assistant examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta for the purpose of participating in the examination of State member banks only. Approved unanimously.
