1/ During March and April changes from a year ago reflect in part the fact that last
year Easter vas on March 25 while this year it will be on April 13. For this
reason it is erst:.: --,.„-d that in comparison with last year an allowance should be
made for a do'-sic-vc. in r-^les of about 6 per cent for the month of March as a
whole and for a cc% responding increase for the month of April as a whole.
2/ The decrease reflects in part the fact that sales this week were reduced because
of a curtailment in public transportation service in the City of San Francisco.
