r—.Revised.
" 2 / Dutiag March and April changes from a year 'ago reflect in part the fact that last
year Easter was on April 6 while- this year it was on March 23. For this reason
it is estimated that in comparison with last year allowance should be made for
an; increase"in sales of about 1 per cent for the, month of March as a whole and
for a corresponding decrease for the month of April as a whole.
* In using
year ago comparisons for the weeks ending June 5 ,and May 29 allowance
should be Made for the fact that in regioti's observing thq Memorial Day holiday
store closings this year occurred in the week ending June .5 whereas last year
they occurred in the previous week..
