DEMAND DEPOSITS. ClffiBENCY* AND RELATED ITEMS
Seasonally adjusted money supply (as defined to.consist of demand
deposits adjusted and currency outside banks), is estimated at $1^*9 billion
in the first half of January, $600 million lower than in the last half of
December, but maintained the same level as the December monthly average*
In the same period, gross time deposits of commercial banks iiicr&ased 81 *Q
billion.
