Further increases in the holdings of war paper and acceptances and cor­
responding increases in not deposits are in d icated in the Federal Reserve Board*s
weekly bank statement issued as at close of business on Ju ly 11,

ISIS*

Wet gold withdrawals during the week aggregated 1 7 -1 m illio n s, while gold
withdrawals since June 6 , the Friday preceding the removal of the gold embargo,
totaled about 30 m illio n s .

The Federal Reserve note c irc u la tio n shows a decline

for tne we^k of 14*2 m illio n s as against an increase of 52-3 m illio n s in war
paper road of 23*4 m illio n s in acceptances.

The banks show a, decline of about 11

m illio n s i n other discounts on hand, while Treasury c e rtific a te holdings show a
further addition of 6 m il l io n s .

Total earning assets went up

for the f i r s t time are i n excess of 2-g M l l i o n s .
