CHICAGO
The retail dollar value of department store inventories
showed little change from November to December, after allowance for
the usual seasonal change. The adjusted index is estimated at
1^3 per cent of the 19h7-h9
average, compared with 1^2 for
November and 135 for December 195$, The" year-end dollar value
of stocks was 6 per cent greater than at the end of 1955.
