February showed a s l i g h t f u r t h e r increase from
the l e v e l of t h e preceding month a f t e r allowance
f o r the usual seasonal change. The a d j u s t e d
index i s estimated at 138 per cent of t h e 191+7b9 average, compared with 137 f o r January, The
value of stocks continued a t a record l e v e l , 11
per cent g r e a t e r than f o r February l a s t y e a r .
