The Federal Reserve Board's index, which • makes allowance for differences in the number of business days and for usual seasonal changes, was 75 i-B February, on the basis of the 19&3-2$ average as 100, compared with 72 in January and 77 in December, In comparison with a year ago, IBs traftte of sales for February was 5 percent larger. The largest increases compared with last year in total sales for the month were shown in the Kansas City, Richmond, and San Francisco districts. The aggregate for the first two months of the year was 5 percent larger than last year.
