Data are prorated averages of Wednesday estimates for domestically chartered Insured banks, based on weekly sample reports and quarterly universe reports For foreign-related institutions, data are averages of month-end estimates based on weekly reports from large U.S. agencies and branches and quarterly reports from all U.S. agencies and branches, New York
Investment companies majority owned by foreign banks, and Edge Act Corporations owned by domestically chartered and foreign banks.
