FEDERAL RESERVE statistical release G.7 (407) Revision of G.7 Series July 28, 1989 Bank credit data in this issue of the G.7 release have been revised to reflect new benchmark adjustments as well as revisions in data received from sample banks that report data weekly. The benchmark adjustments, derived from quarterly condition reprts, have beeen updated through the December 1988 reports for all insured banks and all foreignrelated institutions that are represented in the commercial bank universe. In addition, data for 1984 forward include a number of institutions excluded from earlier releases. The newly-included institutions are state-chartered trust companies without deposits and a number of industrial banks that had become insured between 1985 and 1989, but that had not been included in the G.7 aggregates. Revised historical data are available on request from the Banking and Money Market Statistics Section, Division of Monetary Affairs, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Washington, D.C. 20551. o52J§^;.
