BANK DEBITS

Board of Governors
of the Federal Reserve System
September 7, 1935.

Debits to individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for the
week ended September 4, which included only five business days, aggregated
$6,783*000,000, or 4 per cent above tho total reported for the preceding week and
21 per cent above 1jhe total for the corresponding weel: of last year, which also in­
cluded only five business days.
Aggregate debits for tho l4l cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $6,318,000,000,compared with $6,060,000,000
the preceding week and $5* 192>000,000 the week ended September 5 of last y°ar.
