Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the week ending September 2, aggregated
$3,246,000,000, or $• per cent above the total reported for the preceding week
and lb per cent below the totalfor the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been -published
weekly since January 1519 amounted to £‘7 >&73>~: 0,000> as conpored with
56, 952,000,000 for the preceding week and $9 ,119,000,000 for the week ending
Seotombcr 3 of last year.
