BAM DEBITS

Board of Governors
of the Federal Reserve System
September 12, 1936

Debits to' individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for the
wed: ended September 5, which included only five business days, aggregated
$6,546,000,000, or 25 pcrcent below the total reported for the preceding woe]; and
3 pcrcent below tho total for the corresponding week of last year.

Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total has been maintained since January 1919 amounted to $6,050,000,000, compared with $8, 108,000,000
tho preceding wool: and $6,235,000,000 the wed: ended September 11 of last year.
