BANK DEBITS Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board "b y banks in leading cities for the week ended October 24, aggregated $6,296,000,000, or 4 percent below the total reported for the preceding week, which included only five business days in most of the reporting cities, and 2 percent below the total for the corresptnding week of last year. Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total has been maintained since January 1919 amounted to $5,815,000,00Q compared with $6,043,000,000 the preceding week and $6,018,000,000 the week ended October 25 of last year.
