Be low is given the Federal Reserve Board’s weekly statement of debits to indi vidual account, reported through the Federal Reserve banks ty over 150 of the country's more important clearinghouses. Transactions cover the weekly periods ending Wednesday, October 15 and 8, of the present year, and. in case of most of the reporting centers also the weekly period ending a year earlier, i .e ., Oct. lb, 191 • Aggregate debits to individual account were about 832 millions less than^the week before, the decrease for the New York City clearing house banks alone being about 734 millions. More than average declines are shown also for the Philadel phia, Chicago, and Kansas City banks, while other centers, notably Pittsburgh, De troit and Dallas report larger figures under this head for the week u n d e r review than for the immediately preceding week. As compared with corresponding 19 ^6 ures, available for l 44 cities, debits to individual account were about 25 per cent larger, higher figures being reported for all large cities except Minneapolis and Kansas City. The statement closes with a recapitulation giving ccanparative figures ty re serve districts for I 56 centers reporting complete data for the two most recent weeks, also like figures for the l 44 centers for which data are available for the past week and the week ending October l6 of last year.
