Debits to individual accounts* as reported to the federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the week ending October 10 aggregated
$16,226,142,000 or 15.2 per cent below the totalof $19,201,161,000 reported
for the preceding week, and 35»5 per cent above the total for the week ending
October 12, 1927» which had hut five business days in many cities.
Aggregate dobits for l4l centers for which figures havo been published
weekly since Januaryamounted to $15,423,304,000, as compared with
$12,207,667,000 fti* tijo preceding week and $11,267*039,000 for the week ending
October 12, 1927.
