During the past throe months t o t a l debits f o r the same centers amounted t o 212,422 million dollars or 5 per cent above the t o t a l reported f o r the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 11 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and at the 533 other centers there was an increase of 2 per cent.
