R. 285 STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS ^ For immediate release BANK DEBITS— , j Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System November 3, 1941 DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in leading centers fer the week ended October 29 aggregated $11,012,000,000. Total debits during the 13 weeks ended October 29 amounted to 1135,076,000,000, or 29 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there as an in crease of 27 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at the other reporting centers there was an increase of 30 Per cent.
