BANK DEBITS.

Below is given tho Fodoral Reserve Board's weekly statement of dobits to indi­
vidual account, reported through tho Federal Reserve banks by over 150 of tho^
country's raoro important cloaring houses*
Transactions cover tho weekly periods
ending Wednesday, October 29 and 22, of tho present year, and in case of most of
the reporting centers also tho weekly period ending a year ftaxlicr, i .e ., Oct* 30,
191S.
Aggregate debits to individual account wore over UoO millions below tho
exceptionally large figure of the preceding week, all tho largo centers, except
New York, 'Kansas City and San Francisco, reporting decreases. Relatively tho
heaviest declines were shown for ths clearing house banks in Boston, Detroit
St , Louis.
As compared with corresponding 1918 figures, available for 14-1 cities,
debits to individual account were about 15 p®r cent larger, the increase^in tho
Now York City banks alone constituting about three-fourths of the total increase*
Of the large cities, Philadelphia and Kansas City alone reported smaller figures
than,a year ago.

Tho statement closes with a recapitulation giving comparative figures by re­
serve districts for 155 contcrs reporting complete data for the two most recent
weeks, also like figures for the 14-1 centers for which data axe available for th^
past week and tho woek ending October 30, of last year.
