Bank debits as reported by banks in 355 leading centers for the month of
October aggregated 107* 12*1 million dollars; During the past three months t o t a l
debits for the same centers amounted to 509*85b million dollars or 10 percent
above the t o t a l reported f o r the correspdnding period a year ago. At banks in Mw
e
York City there was an increase of 11 percent compared with the corresponding
three-months period a year ago, and at the 332 other centers there was kn increase
of 9 percent*
