Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System May 5, 1941 Form F, R* 285 For immediate release BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS, EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in leading centers for the week ended April30 aggregated $9,922,000,000. Total debits during the 13 weeks ended April 30 amounted to §125,864,000,000, or 15 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 10 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at the other reporting centers there was an increase of 19 per cent.
