banks in leading cities for the weak ending *pril 25, aggregated $1 2 , 4 6 2 , 000,000
Co. 2. per cent oelow the total of $ 1 2 , 697 , 000,000 reported for the preceding week.
L&n Y.ilr uity reported an increase of $316, 000, 000, which was more than offset by
dee*eases in other cities, the principal reductions being as follows: Chicago
$b<3,.000,000, Detroit $54,000,000, Boston $50,000,000, Philadelphia $33,000,000,
St.. Louis $24,000,000, and Los Angeles $1 0 ,000,000.
A;* compared with the week ending April 29, 1925, debits for the week urxier
review are larger^by $2 ,03 9 ,0iX),Q00 or 20 par cent. New York City reported an in­
crease of $ 1 ,59S, u00,000, while other large increases are as follows: Chicago
$75,000,000, Boston $ 6 9 ,000,000, San Francisco $29,000,000, Cleveland $23,000,000,
Philadelphia $22,000,000, and Detroit $19,000,000.
Aggregate debits for 141 centers for which figures have been published weekly
since January, 1919 , amounted to $11,797,393,000, as compared with $11,956,900,000
for the preceding week and $9,509,164,000 for the week ending April 29, 1925 .
