Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the wedc ending April 27, aggregated $6 ,325.000,000,
or 15 per cent below the total reported for the preceding week and U5 per cent
below the total for the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly since January 1919 amounted to $6,004,000,000, as conrpared with
$6,946,000,000 the preceding week and $10,836,000,000 the wedc ending April 29
of last year.
