banks in leading cities f.or the week ending March 23, aggregated $6,912,000,000,
or 1 per cent below t:ie total reported for the preceding week and 35 P®r cent

below the total for the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for t?ie l4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly since January I919 amounted to $6,428,000,000, as compared with
$7,494,000,000 the preceding week and $9 , 9S2, 000,000 the week ending torch 25
