STATEMENT FDR THE PRESS Form FR-285 For Immediate release BANK DEBITS Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System March 19, 1938 Debits to individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for the week ended March 16, aggregated $8,469,000,000, or 16 percent above the total re ported for the preceding week and 22 percent below the total for the corresponding week of last year.
