'.lMinneapolis, D allas, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
As compared with the week ending Lferch 9. 1921, the volume of business for
the report week was larger by $ 6 5 4 ,0 0 0 ,0 0 0 , or 9 per cent. For New York City the
volume of business for the most recent week was $ 4 , 384 , 000, 000, compared with
$3 , 7b0 , 000,000 a year earlier, an increase of $b2 li,000, 000, or about 17 per cent.
The changes reported for other cities were generally much smaller, the decreases
in the aggregate nearly offsetting the increases.
The total number of centers reporting this week is 235,
