Fora F.R. 285 For immediate release STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System June 30, 1941 BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO' DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS, EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in leading centers for the week ended June 25 aggregated $9,997,000,000. Total debits during the 13 weeks ended June 25 amounted to $131 ,357 ,000 ,000 , or 19 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 13 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at the other reporting centers there was an increase of 23 per cent-.
