June 30, 1941

BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO' DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS, EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in leading centers for the week ended
June 25 aggregated $9,997,000,000. Total debits during the 13 weeks ended June 25
amounted to $131 ,357 ,000 ,000 , or 19 per cent above the total reported for the
corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase
of 13 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at the other
reporting centers there was an increase of 23 per cent-.
