St. 4568 Federal Reserve Board, June 20, 1925* BANK DEBITS Debits tc individual acco\ints as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by ban] in lead ing* cities for the weev ending June 17, aggregated $12,318,000,000 or 1U.9 per cent above the total of $10,720,000,000 reported for the pracoding week. New York City reported an increase of $867,000,000, while otner large increases were as fellows:' Chicago $173,000,000, Philadelphia $123,000,000, Detroit $72,000,000, Cleveland $55,000,000, San Francisco $36,000,000, Pittsburgh $22,000,000 and Baltimore $21,000,000. As compared with the wsek ending June 18, 1924, debits for the week under re view show an increase of $1,473,000,000 or 13.6 per cent. Substantially larger debits are shewn for all of the more important centers, the principal increases being as fcllcwss New York City $710,000,000, Chicago $l4l,000,000, Detroit $60,000,000, Philadelphia $52,000,COO, Cleveland $41,000,000, San Francisco $28,000,000 and Minneapolis $22,000,000. Aggregate debits for l4l centers for which figures have been published weekly since January, 1919, were $11,609,5,30,00^ as corip&red with $10,054,702,000 for the preceding week and $10,215,910-,000/the week ending June 18, 1924. Debits to individual accounts were reported, to the Federal Reserve Board for banks in 257 centers, of which 255 are included in the summary by Federal reserve districts.
