Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board “by
"banks in leading cities for the week ending May 27, aggregated $9,993,000,000, or
12 per cent "below the total reported for the preceding week and 23 per cent "below
the total for the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly°since January 1.919 amounted to $9,335,000,000, as compared with
$10,601,000,000 for the preceding vseek and $12,282,000,000 for the week ending
May 28, of last year.
