July 26, I 9I 9 Below given the Federal Reserve Board's regular weekly statement of total debits to deposit account- reported through the .Federal Reserve banks by about 150 ,:: of the country's more important clearing houses. Transactions cover the weekly periods ending Wednesday July l6 and 23, 1919* Aggregate debits to individual account shown for the week were about 550 millions less than for the immediately preceding week, though still above the average for the last two months. Reports from the larger cities, with the exception of New Orleans, Kansas City and ^os Angeles, show smaller totals' than the week before. The increase shown, for Pittsburgh is due apparently alto gether to the larger number of banks covered by the more recent statement■ Total debits to bank account decreased less than 1 per cent, most of the larger cities, including Hew York and Chicago, reporting increases over the previous week's totals , The statement closes with a recapitulation giving comparative figures ty re serve districts for 15 I. 4 centers reporting complete data for both weeks.
