BANK DEBITS

Debits to individual accounts, a,s reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the week ending June 28, aggregated $6,215,000,000,
or 15 per cent below the total reported for the preceding weak and 11 per cent
above the total for the corresponding wook of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $6,409,000,000, compfjrcd with $7,502,000,000
the preceding week and $5,670,000,000 the week ending June 29 of last year.
