B A M DEBITS--DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in 342 leading centers for the month of
June aggregated $144,709 million. During the past three months total debits
amounted to $419,819 million or 7 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of
12 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and.
at the other centers there was an increase of 3 per cent.
