BANK DEBITS--DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in 342 leading centers for the month
of June aggregated 135,027 million dollars. During the past three months total
debits amounted to 394,175 million dollars or IB per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there
was an increase of 14 per cent compared with the corresponding tliree-mOntns period
a year ago, and at the other centers there was an increase of 20 per cen «
