BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in 333 leading centers for the month
of December aggregated 118,197 million dollars. During the past three months
total debits for the same centers amounted to 319,523 million dollars or 4 per
cent below the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks
in New York City there was a decrease of ^ per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and at the 332 other centers there was *
decrease of v p e r cent,
