Detits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
"banks in leading cities for the week ended February 14, which included only five
business days in many of the reporting centers, aggregated $5 ,^ 90 , 000 , 000 , or 19
per cent below the total reported for the preceding week and 17 per cent above
the total for the corresponding week of last year, which also included only five
business days in many of the reporting centers.
Aggregate debits for the lUl citj.es for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $5*^82,000,000, compared with $6,831,000,000
the preceding wee- and

6*30,000,000 the week ended February 15 of last year.
