BANK DEBITS--DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported b y banks in leading centers for ths wee^c ended
February 11 aggregated $9,1*92,000,000. Total debits during the 15 weeks ended
February 11 amounted to $ 1148,956,000,000, or 20 percent above the total reported
for the corresponding period a year ugo. At banks in New York City there was an
increase of 13 por cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at
the other reporting centers there was an increase of 21* per cent,
