BAKE DEBITS

Board of Governors
of the Federal Reserve System
December 12, 1936

Debits to individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for the
week ended December 9, aggregated $9,381,000,000, or 4 percent below the total re­
ported for the preceding week, which included only five business days, and 23
percent above the total for the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 19IS amounted to $3,671,000,000, compared with $9,106,000,000
the preceding week and $7,003,000,000 the week ended December 11 of last year.
