Bank debits as reported by banks i n 334 leading centers f o r the month of
November aggregated 79,401 m i l l i o n dollars* During the past three months t o t a l
debits f o r the same centers amounted to 232,186 m i l l i o n s d o l l a r s or 5 p®r cent above
the t o t a l reported f o r the corresponding period a year ago. At banks i n New York
City there was an increase of 12 per cent compared with t h e corresponding t h r e e months period a year ago, and a t the 333 other centers there was
relatively l i t t l e
change.
