For immediate release

BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in 334 leading centers for the month' of
November aggregated 65*025 million dollars* During the past three months total
debits for the same centers amounted to 207*052 million dollars or 23 per cent
above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New
York City there was an increase of 29 per cent compared with the corresponding
three-months period a year ago,, and at the 333 other centers there was-, an increase
of 20 per cent*
