R*. 286 STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System December p, 1943 For immediate release BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 334 leading centers for the month' of November aggregated 65*025 million dollars* During the past three months total debits for the same centers amounted to 207*052 million dollars or 23 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago.
