Debits to individual accounts, as reported to tiie federal Reserve joard by
banks in leading cities for the week ended December 6, ifcich included but five
business days, aggregated $5,624,000,000, or 7 per cent below the total reported
for the preceding week and 10 per cent below the total for the corresponding wee*.

Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $5,132,000,000, compared with *5,5*7,000,000
the preceding week and $5.7^7,000,000 the week eniod December 7 of last year.
