St. 44s6 Federal Reserve Board, April 4, 1925. bank DEBITS Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Bsserve Board by anks in leading cities for the week ending April 1, aggregated $11,532,000,000. or 3.9 per cent above the total of $11,144,000,000 reported for the preceding week. Most of the larger centers reported increases for the week, the principal increases being a a follows; New York City $110,000,000, Chicago $64,000,000, Baltimore $37,000,000, Cleveland $32,000,000, and Newark and Pittsburgh $20,000,000 and $19,000,000, respectively. As compared with the week ending April 2, 1924, debits for the week under review show an increase of $1,150,000,000, or 11 per cent. New York City report ed an increase of $791,000,000, while other large increases were as follows: X ll,0?0,000, ? itt8burSh $33,000,000, Philadelphia $25,000,000, Minneapolis $24,000,000, Detroit $23,000,000, and Milwaukee $20,000,000. The largest re duction, $12,000,000,was reported by New Orleans. Aggregate debits for l4l centers for which figures have bean published * ^ kc L 8^ 9 January* 1919» were about $10,933,000,000 as compared with $10,545,871,000 for the preceding week and $9,828,894,000 for the week ending April 2, 1924. 6 Debits to individual accounts were reported to the Federal Reserve Board for banks in 255 centers, of which 250 are included in the summary by Federal reserve districts.
